I dreamed I was a superhero from another world,
fighting off the supervillains and rescuing my girl.

He tied you to a railroad track the train was coming round.
I saved you in the nick of time I shut the engine down before

the crazy, evil scientist could execute his plan
to smash apart the city square and spread fear through the land.

I chased him to his hideaway, no chance of escape,
But just before I struck him down he rolled the videotape.

His henchmen found you once again and spirited you away.
He locked me in a box so strong the walls I could not break.

He dropped me in the ocean deep a thousand miles from shore, helpless in my seabed cage I wait forevermore.

Past the point of madness I succumb to an evil rage
A power I didn’t know I had it frees me from my cage

With newfound evil energy I travel back in time
I will stop my former self and live a life of crime

I’ll kidnap all the innocents and nail them to the tracks
Once my doppelgänger’s gone there’ll be no turning back

I’ll lure him to my hideaway no chance of escape
and with that selfless do-good gone I’ll finally get my way

I’ll smash apart the cities till my power goes sea to sea
and once I burn it all away I’ll lay my weary head down and I will dream.
